Living the Total Consecration - Fatima

Texas To Jesus Through Mary
First Fridays and First Saturdays

Many parishes in our Diocese offer special Confession, Rosary,
Mass, and Adoration times for these devotions.

Between 1673 and 1675, Our Lord appeared to Saint Margaret
Mary Alacoque in Pray le Monial, France.

Our Lord said to St. Margaret Mary:  “I promise you, in the
excessive mercy of My Heart, that My all-powerful love will [receive
communion] on the First Friday of nine consecutive months, the
grace of final penitence; they shall not die in my disgrace, nor
without receiving their Sacraments, My Divine Heart shall be their
safe refuge in this last moment.”

On the first Friday of 9 consecutive months: 1) Go to Confession
(Reconciliation) and 2) Receive Holy Communion (Holy Mass).  It
is also tradition to spend one hour in Adoration with Our Lord.

Do this especially in reparation for those who do not receive Our
Lord, who do their sinful lives.

Our Lord also told her:
“My divine heart is so filled with passionate love for men and for
you in particular that I can no longer contain the fire of its ardent
charity. Through you it must be spread, and its precious treasures
that I will show to you must be manifested so that they may be

“Behold this Heart that has so loved men and has spared nothing
even to emptying Itself to show them Its love. And as thanks, I
receive from most only ingratitude.”

On December 10, 1925, while Sister Lúcia (seer of the Blessed
Virgin Mary in Fatima) was a postulant with the Sisters of Saint
Dorothy in Pontevedra, Spain, Our Lady appeared to her with the
Child Jesus.

The Child Jesus spoke first and said:
"Have compassion on the Heart of your most holy Mother, covered
with thorns, with which ungrateful men pierce it at every moment,
and there is no one to make an act of reparation to remove them."

Then, Our Lady said:
“Look, my daughter, at my Heart, surrounded with thorns with which
ungrateful men pierce me at every moment by their blasphemies
and ingratitude.  You, at least try to console me and say that I
promise to assist at the hour of death, with the graces necessary
for salvation, all those who, on the first Saturday of five consecutive
months, shall
1) confess,
2) receive Holy Communion,
3) recite five decades of the Rosary, and
4) keep me company for fifteen minutes while meditating on the
fifteen mysteries of the Rosary, with the intention of making
reparation to me.”

The following year (1926), Our Lord said to Sister Lúcia:  “It is true,
my daughter, that many souls begin the First Saturdays, but few
finish them, and those who do complete them do so in order to
receive the graces that are promised thereby.  It would please Me
more if they did Five with fervor and with the intention of making
reparation to the Heart of your Heavenly Mother, than if they did
Fifteen in a tepid and indifferent manner…”

I will never forsake you.
My Immaculate Heart
will be your refuge and
the way that will lead you to God."

"May the seven years which separate us from
the centenary of the apparitions hasten the
fulfillment of the prophecy of
the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
to the glory of the Most Holy Trinity."
